If you are under 18 and would like to take GED classes or take the GED tests, you will need permission from your parent/legal guardian and the school district you currently live in. Please contact them directly.

When you contact the school, ask for a referral to the GED Option Program OR an Exemption From Compulsory Education.

 

 

 

GED Option  Advantage: You are still considered a student in the district & the school will pay for your GED tests.  

 

Exemption Disadvantage: You are no longer part of the school district.You will have to pay for your own GED tests.
